Showing your children, your life
The food you cook, the books you read
A life not unlike mine.
Like parallel lines we live
Never intersecting but existing at the same time
Or was your life tangent to mine
Touching my life for a moment
Then moving on forever
Getting further away from our meeting point
With each day that passes?
So much stronger, more confident, more you
Have we grown so different that
Like two rays starting at the same point,
We are going in very different directions?
But could it be, perhaps
We might be meridians
Which met once and for a while seemed close
Will grow close, and even meet again,
Though for the moment we are far apart?
. . . lovely!
