1. I have been wanting to experiment with a pattern for an infinity dress, but haven't been convinced that it would look good on me. So I made it for Victoria, my inheritance doll, who actually has a similar figure to mine. It was a quick afternoon project and it turned out nicely, but I decided that it was not a pattern I would try for myself.
2. I bought peaches. I shouldn't have. They aren't in season, so I should have known they wouldn't taste very good. But I did, and they didn't, so I made Peach Cobbler in a Cup. All measurements are approximate. I kinda "eyed it up."Mix:
1/2 cup baking mix
1 tablespoon sugar
sprinkle of nutmeg.
Stir in:
1 peach
1/4-1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
Microwave for 5 minutes. Serve with milk.

3. I have had a tiered dress playing in my creative brain. I found a pattern and tried it out, but I measured the bodice wrong, so it ended up being about two inches shorter than I had planned. I am in the process of making it longer, but have not been satisfied with the results so far. However, I also altered it so it had buttons up the back instead of a zipper. I have been very satisfied with that change and can even do all the buttons by myself!
5. Melt half of a caramel leftover from last fall that you find in the bottom of your candy bin in an Oreo (a few seconds in the microwave) and enjoy gooey, caramel, chocolatey goodness.6. This morning both boys crawled into our bed. Although they weren't still, they weren't crazy (as usual). It was nice just to cuddle and wake up together, though Eamon would have preferred for us to wake up much faster than we did. It made me stop and meditate on our blessed, messy life.
