There is a Hayao Miyazaki film called Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind. It is a good movie (especially if you like anime and reading subtitles and that sort of thing.) Near the end Nausicaa gets mortally wounded and the Ohmu lift her up in their tentacles and heal her.
That picture has meant a lot to me in the past few days. I have felt mortally wounded, but I have known the mysterious support of prayer. Slowly, I too, am becoming healed and changed, like Nausicaa.
